British Columbia signed the July 2026 agreement and has committed to having its system in place for all types of alcohol in February 2027. In the meantime BC already permits inbound direct-to-consumer shipping of 100 percent Canadian wine purchased directly from a Canadian winery — so BC is partially open today, not closed until 2027. Details of the authorization process for the wider programme are not yet published, and BC's own liquor regulation pages carry no notice of the agreement or the February 2027 date.
