Nova Scotia and Ontario signed the first bilateral direct-to-consumer agreement on 2 March 2026 — a signing date, not a shipping start date — with applications opening the next day. No official in-force or first-shipment date has been published. Nova Scotia signed the multilateral agreement on 21 July 2026; the province states that producers from other Canadian markets must be authorized by NSLC, with applications opening the same day. NSLC does not publish a public list of authorized producers. The province's own direct-to-consumer programme page has not yet been updated for the multilateral agreement and still describes a bilateral arrangement with Ontario only. Remittance basis and reporting cadence are not published by any source we have been able to read.
